Wayman L. Prince: Chairman

The concept, idea and creation of HOUSTON BROAD BASED COMMUNITY CENTER began in 2003 from its Founder and Chairman, Wayman L. Prince. Attorney Wayman L. Prince is both an attorney and financial planner, ChFu, CLU and FLMI. He has forty-one (41) years of legal experience as an attorney practicing in the areas of Civil Litigation (State and Federal Courts), Personal Injury, Medical, Employment, Labor, Real Estate, Family Law, Real Estate Foreclosures, Collections and business Contracts. As a former College Professor and Teacher, he has a no-nonsense attitude on learning and achievement. Leadership starts at the top and flows down and not the reverse. As the youth of our society unfolds, we will either progress or digress in our current society.”

Hussain Zaffer: President

A Passion to work with the Youth for the last 25 years has made Zaffer join hands with Mr. Wayman L. Prince to help the Youth of the Society. As a Business Entrepreneur he is well organized and experienced in running an Organization.  An Indian National Boxer and a reputed boxing coach, Zaffer has produced many champions from School to National Levels. His approach and dedication has helped change the life for many youth continuously. “Give them the Love and Respect and you earn it back”.

Lee Canalito: Vice President

A Native Houstonian attended Sterling High School and University of Houston. He was an All-American Football Star in both High School and University of Houston. Owner of the Lee Canalito’s Boxing Gym in Downtown Houston. As a Professional Heavy Weight Contender, Lee was ranked 9th in the Nation with a record of 21-0 with 19 Knock outs. Trained extensively with Mohammed Ali’s trainer Angelo Dundee. Acted in Hollywood Movies, The Glass Jungle (1988) and Co-Stared with Sylvester Stallone in Paradise Alley (1978).

Jasmeeta Singh: Vice President

Jasmeeta Singh(CEO and FOUNDER of Jaz Creationz) is a graduate of University of Texas Allied Health Sciences and diploma in Indian Classical Kathak dance and Indian Classical vocal music from India she is an Event Coordinator for Fashion and Dance shows, Runway Director, Choreographer, Stylist, and a Dance artist. Jasmeeta Singh’s unique company “JAZ CREATIONZ” is an International Modeling and Dancing agency and coaching center with Public Speaking and Physical Fitness programs.

She seeks to excel at helping her clients, models, and students by unlocking their hidden potential and building the value of creativity in today’s entertainment world. She raises awareness among youth about improving their self-image and gaining self-confidence. She focuses on building bridges within the diverse Indo American Communities by celebrating beauty, fashion and culture. 501 NON Profit org positions-Board of Director- Interfaith Ministries.

Fariba Khosravi: Treasurer

Experienced Senior Home Lending Advisor with JP Morgan Chase & Co.  A demonstrated history of working for over 21 years in the financial services industry.  A Finance professional with an MBA from University of Albany, SUNY. Strategic and Financial Planning Expert with Strong Management Skills,  financial transaction oversight, administering budget plans, overseeing Organization’s wide financial policy implementation. Very passionate about helping the Youth in achieving their Goals.

Adela Ascencio: Secretary

Adela is a very successful Real Estate Agent and Investor in the City of Houston. She is very enthusiastic and has a Passion to help the Youth and the Community. Having raised two kids to the best of her ability as a Single Parent, she would love to dedicate her time and energy in the “Punch” program towards giving a better future to the Youth.

Willie Savannah: Program Director

Mr. Savannah began his boxing journey in the late 70’s at Kenny Weldon’s Galena Park Boxing Academy, learning the boxing trade as he helped out with the boxers. In 1980 he and wife Clara opened The Savannah Boxing Gym and began training and managing boxer Ronnie Shields. Mr. Savannah and wife Clara never looked back and went on to develop one of the most successful amateur boxing programs in the nation. An approach based on the fundamentals of boxing and also a strong emphasis on building respectful, well -mannered young boxers.
There is a long list of boxers from Houston and/or with Houston connections that have been raised in the Savannah Boxing Gym or have trained there at one time or another. Many successful boxers from Savannah Boxing have gone on to become successful trainers as well, helping out at Savannah’s or opening their own gyms.
Just to name a few that have come up through The Savannah Boxing Gym: Ronnie Shields, Derwin Richards, Juan and Jose Diaz, and Hylon Williams Jr. The Charlo brothers and Regis Prograis also got their start at The Savannah Boxing Gym.
A tireless advocate for the underprivileged youth of Houston, Texas, Willie Savannah is truly a Houston boxing legend and icon.

Richie Taub:  
Drug Addiction and Rehabilitation Program Director.

Richie Taub has been working in the field of addiction since 1993, when he began working with an alkaloid called Ibogaine. After many years of working with Ibogaine, He realised that it would never be the accessible home remedy that he had initialy hoped for. At that point Richie was introduced to the Vitnamese remedy that became the inspiration for Freedom Formula.
Richie has conducted more than 700 sessions and Treatments with ibogaine during a 15 year period and has refered to more than a thousand to other ibogaine centers. Probably about 18000 People have had Ibogaine treatment since the last 25 years since Richie has been involved. 

Clara Savannah:  
Punch Program Coordinator

Formely worked at Childrens Protective Services and State Investigator for Long Term Care Facilities.
Involved with Boxing Program for over 30 years. She is a USA Certified Boxing Coach and Official. The Gym has produced numerous Boxing World Champions and many great boxers. Helped many kids financially as they come from low income families. Most of the boxers young and old call her Mom, because she is a Mom away from home.

Blair Bresler​:

Marketing and Advertising Coordinator

A very self-motivated, determined and enthusiastic individual, has been a successful Advertising and Marketing Professional since the last 7 years. A graduate of Auburn University, Blair has been a member of the swimming team of Cinco Ranch High School. She has a passion to help and serve the youth, has volunteered at the Houston Habitat for Humanity and at the Kingwood Hospital.
